THE SON OF MAN HAS NOWHERE
TO LAY HIS HEAD
Acrylic on museum quality masonite, 16 x 28”, ornate gold frame
“Foxes have holes, birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man
has nowhere to lay his head.”
Luke 9:58
Jesus has left the city to find solace in prayer with the Father. He is so tired - not a physical exhaustion but a spiritual one - due to the cunning of man.
The Pharisees and Scribes seek ways to kill him and entrap him in speech.
The 'Lamb of God rests upon a lamb ffinding peace in the solitude. He is too tired to eat his bread, but leaves out crumbs for the birds. The birds are not afraid of this gentle heart.
The Creator of the Universe sleeps in the cold under the stars, alone.
NO - never alone! Always in union with his Father.
